Design Brief
Renovation of an existing property into two prestigious semi-detached houses. The site is located in Lincoln conservsation area number 1 and is situated in close proximity to the Roman scheduled monument and various historic and listed buildings, including the Cathedral. Consequently the design solution had to place emphasis upon the protection and preservation of its local archeaology and heritage.
Technical Info
The property is located on a site with archaeological significance, consequently a piled solution was employed. A combination of traditional construction and new techniques were used to compliment the existing structure, which was to be retained, and the local historic context.
