Technical Info

The existing 1960's masonry building had been extended in the 1970's using a light weight clasp system.
The existing flat roof was over clad with a pitched roof to remove severe maintenance problems. This included providing a lightweight steel grillage over the existing roof which allowed for the continued use of the classroom during the sequenced works. The works included removal and recladding of the external construction with either new masonry, Euroclad panels or structural curtain wall glazing with required additional steelwork as well as strengthening to the existing clasp system.
