Design Brief

Toys 'R' Us were rebranding their company. This included replacing all existing signs at the entrance lobbies at all stores. Simons Construction Ltd won the contract to a number of stores including Southampton, Croydon, Warrington, Gateshead, Bristol, Medway, Stevenage, Reading, Ipswich, Edinburgh, Teeside, Swansea, Gloucester and Hull. Peter Cole Consultants Ltd were appointed as Engineer to design the supporting structure to the new signage above the entrance of the stores and a number of internal alterations.

Technical Info

The new signage was typically the same for the majority of the buildings. However the individuality of each building required a different solution for fixing back to the existing structure. It was also necessary to make a number of structural alterations to facilitate alterations to the internal layout.
