Specific Defect Report
A report commissioned to advise the client on a single specific structural defect. The report is prepared in letter format and contains observations, details of the cause of any defect and recommendations for repairs or further exploratory works.
Charges for Specific Defect Reports start from £250 + VAT.
Structural Engineers Inspection Report
A report commissioned to advise the client on the structural condition and stability of a single property. Visual observations are made externally and inside the property to identify evidence of cracking, differential foundation and building movements and the condition of structural elements such as floors, roof and structural openings. Reports are in bound A4 format and contain detailed observations, the cause of any defects and recommendations for repairs, improvements or further exploratory works.
Charges for Structural Engineers Inspection Reports start at £300 + VAT.
Full Structural Report
A report commissioned for domestic properties only to advise the client on the following relating to a single dwelling.
- The structural condition and stability of the property as set out in the SEI Report above.
- The condition of the fabric of the building and the materials of construction including damp and timber infestation.
- An assessment of the current condition of the services, eg central heating, electrics and visual assessment of drainage (excludes CCTV Survey).
Reports are in bound A4 format and contain detailed observations, the cause of any defects and recommendations for repairs, improvements or further exploratory works.
Charges for Full Structural Reports start at £375 + VAT.
